Both the IB and A-Levels are academically rigorous qualifications and regarded well by university admissions departments and employers alike. However, they set different learning objectives for students and have different workloads. Whether a student takes the IB or A-Levels depends on what they are like as an individual, and the decision between the two sets of courses should be made with sensitivity and awareness of each student’s unique strengths, weaknesses and academic outlook.
