A-Levels are school leaving qualifications offered to British students before university education. A-Level stands for the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level and is split into two parts: the Advanced Supplementary (AS) Level usually followed by the A2. For university entrance in the UK, A-Levels or equivalent qualifications are necessary.
A-Levels are also available to students in many commonwealth and former commonwealth countries, such as Singapore, Malaysia and Mauritius.
