What is postgraduate education?

Postgraduate education involves learning and studying for degrees, professional or academic certificates after your Bachelor’s degree. The first thing to know about applying for an MA or MSc is that, unlike the arrangements for undergraduate courses, there is no central admissions system, though some institutions ask that you apply via UCAS for some postgraduate course. We ensure to guide you when contacting the university directly or with your postgraduate UCAS application.

When can I apply?

Courses tend to start at the end of September or in early October so we insist that all applications are completed by the end of the previous year. This allows time for us to have one to one meetings with you about your application and review any queries you may have.

Common postgraduate courses are:

v  Msc Financal Economics

v  Law (GDL)

v  MBA

v  Medicine

v M(Eng) Engineering

Personal Statement

When writing your application, one of our education consultants or academic coaches will help you to write a successful personal statement, covering your academic career and achievements to date and, if applicable, your subsequent career. They will also assist you in providing a course transcript, which is a report from your university or tutor that provides details of subjects and courses you have taken and the grades you have obtained. If you are applying for a research-based master’s, such as an MRes or an MPhil, where you complete a thesis and there are fewer taught elements, it’s likely you’ll be asked to write a research proposal outlining the area you wish to investigate, how you intend to go about it and what sources of information you intend to use. For a taught master’s you will normally be asked to complete a supporting statement as part of your application. This is something where we will arrange meetings with one of our specialist tutors, for your desired course, in order to write the perfect research proposal.
