Our Motivational and Leadership Training (MLT) is a weekend course that inspire energy and enthusiasm to students. It is a combinations of mentally challenging and physically stimulating activities that focus on developing students’ strategic planning, visioning, priority settings and decision- making.
Through individual coaching and group workshops, we help young people, in all stages of their education, to articulate what motivates them, to explain who they are and what they believe and deliver their message in a way that creates an emotional connection with their audience – essential life skills required to help them prepare for their future working lives.
Participants begin by attending the introductory outdoor conference, which is presented with a new guest keynote speaker each year. Throughout the weekend, large and small group workshops, discussions and team-building activities take place. Activities are shared with recreational fun, as each student has the chance to enjoy the waterparks, go kart racing, paintball, archery and bowling.
Our Oxbridge directors will explore and conduct a range of interview scenarios on camera which students will be able to reflect upon and keep for when they want to refer to it again. The students will receive feedback from tutors and Ben Loyd-Holmes, our confidence and performance coach who will help participants to establish their negotiation and presentation techniques.
Students have the opportunity to choose their team on the final day to work towards developing a finally business idea. At this point everyone will understand each others strengths and will be able to develop a compelling enough idea to present to the judges. Upon completion the students will be awarded prizes and the possibility of winning funding to further develop their idea.
Students have opportunities to learn leadership skills that will help them to change their motivation, grades, and future prospects for the better. While exploring leadership in a whole new way, participants will make amazing new friends and have experiences they will never forget. Positive, ongoing interaction with other AngloSlav students, staff, directors and graduates offers a continuing reinforcement, encouragement and growth of motivation.
